Question:
German universities which accept GRE?

Avatar
Asked by kish_avril

Mam, thank you so much :)
By the way, I am planning to join for German language course next month! So, no problem with that..

Can u give me some 5 best German universities which recommend GRE (or not) for electrical engineering? Because, I need to choose 4 universities on the day of GRE!! I am struggling with the selection of universities.. Mam, should I need to include some US/UK universities in that 4 universities selection?

    Hi,

You can explore programs such as Automotive Vehicle Integration, Automobile Engineering etc in Germany.

As per my research, you can check out the following universities for Masters in Automobile, Automotive Electronics or Automotive Engineering:

    1. RWTH International Academy, Aachen University ( for MS in Automotive Engineering)
    2. German Institute of Science and Technology
    3. Westküste University of Applied Sciences
    4. Hochschule Esslingen
    5. Lawrence Tech's

    You should have the following:
1.A candidate should have a recognised first degree (Bachelor of Science or Engineering)
    2. Candidates should have also performed above average in their undergraduate studies.
    3. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is also required.
    4. Candidates should have an IELTS certificate (score 6.0) or of the TOEFL certificate (score 550 paper-based / 213 computer-based / 80 internet-based).

Apart from this , if the university requires, you can be asked to submit the following requirements/ documents also:
    1. CV with detailed description of the recent educational course
    2. If applicable, proof of German language skills according to 3 Abs.5 MPO
    3. If applicable, proof of professional experience through work and practical evidence

nstitutions of higher education in Germany usually do not charge any tuition fees. But education policy in Germany is increasingly seeking to change this. A number of states now charge tuition fees for students who study for considerably longer than the stipulated period for course completion.

Apart from the relatively low semester fees (generally no more than 100-200 euros), students at German universities are not required to pay from their own pockets at any time. Student fees pay for student services association as well as the student union. In many university towns and cities, the student fee also buys you a ticket for free local transportation for the semester.

For further details, please click on Study in Germany

    Good Luck!

    Hello,

Please Click Here- for the general application procedure for a Masters degree in the German universities.

With regard to the German language, even if you enroll with a university offering English as the mode of education, for the entire student life it is easier to know a little bit of German. Usually you need the proof of language skills on level B1. That equals about 600 hours of German language.

    Good luck!

    Hello Medha,

While you may be exempted of the GRE since the scores are valid for a period of five years, the TestDaF is proof of the German language skills that is most recommended even if opting for universities with English node of education. Now since it is a language test for international applicants who plan to study in Germany or who require recognized certification of their language skills it does not have anything to do with degree level you have earned.

Apart form the above stated you also need to consider either of the English Proficiency Test (TOEFL / IELTS) since this happens to be one of the eligibility criteria specified in a good number of German universities.

Also, for appropriate short listing of universities we seek more elaboration on your profile in terms of the academic grades, scores on the test takes if any etc. as of now you may go through the following to understand the curriculum and the requirements :

    • Duisburg-Essen University
    • Paderborn University
    • Karlsruhe Hochschule

    I hope this helps.

    Take care!
